A Typical Day

You will have the chance to do many exciting things during your time in China. Here is a description of a typical weekday and Sunday. Be warned, however, no two days will ever be the same at the Peace Institute!

A Typical Weekday

Morning

Wake up and catch the bus to your Mandarin lesson
Remember to take your homework!

Morning

Learn Mandarin one-on-one with your Chinese teacher
You could also do a language exchange with a student.

Lunchtime

Eat lunch at the school or grab some quick street food

Afternoon

Cycling is a convenient form of transportation
Run some errands or go for a relaxing ride

Teachers often get ready for their lessons by
planning in the teacher's office

Evening

Teachers often eat dinner together
at the school before their class

Evening

Teach your class in the evening
then rest at home after a hard day's work!

A Typical Sunday

Sunday is a day of rest for all the teachers.

Tianjin International Fellowship

On Sunday the teachers go to the south of the city
and attend the Tianjin International Fellowship

Sunday Afternoon

Have a meal with your friends after attending the
Tianjin International Fellowship

Teachers take a rest in the evening to prepare themselves for another busy week at the Peace Institute!
